Set protected by several acres of magnificent parkland gardens and grounds, this lovely traditional Jersey country residence enjoys a favoured and quiet location within the much sought after Parish of St Brelade.
Of historical note the main property was constructed in 1762 by Brelade Janvrin a wealthy ship owner and it was acknowledged at the time as one of the most distinguished examples of the classic Jersey granite house of the period. Over the years Le Coin has been in the care of a number of notable owners including the Countess de Bretoy who later bequeathed the property to Prince George Chasdervadzy and in more recent years it has been the home of the distinguished artist and collector Sir Francis Cook and his wife Lady Brenda.
The interior accommodation, whilst being both charming and exceedingly atmospheric, now possesses the potential for sympathetic modernisation if required. The accommodation includes 5 reception rooms, 6 bedrooms, a guest cottage and a small staff unit.
Within the grounds there is a hard tennis court and a swimming pool. The principal approach to Le Coin is via a magnolia tree lined driveway. The gardens protecting Le Coin are of great note and form a most important feature of the property as a whole.
Two additional nearby charachter cottages may be purchased by seperate arrangement if required.
Oil fired central heating in the main house. Private drainage system. Mains water. Private well supplies pumped for garden use. Mains electricity.
